Syndesy Technologies releases SynTRAC PL1, its small certified LTE Cat 1 tracker

Syndesy Technologies Inc. announced Monday that it is launching this month with the release of its product, the SynTRAC PL1, designed and manufactured in the U.S.A.

The SynTRAC PL1 will consist of development boards, personal trackers, asset trackers and vehicle trackers. SynTRAC devices incorporate power-saving algorithms to last longer on a single battery charge than other systems.

Founded in Ashburn, Virginia, Syndesy addresses the need for enterprises of all sizes to connect their products to the Internet of Things using latest wireless technologies and standards. Syndesy produces finished products; FCC-, IC- and carrier-certified boards; and modular add-on boards which help enterprise and engineering customers turn their products into connected devices, ready for the Internet of Things (IoT).

SynTRAC products are FCC-, PTCRB- and carrier-certified as end devices and are available as finished, ready-to-use products or as boards which can be integrated into other products for communications and location services.

The SynTRAC PL1 is a 4G LTE Cat. 1 and 3G HSPA communications and tracking development platform. It features multi-GNSS satellite navigation technology, supporting in parallel GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, as well as QZSS. The SynTRAC PL1 features 3G fallback in North America. The company plans to introduce variants of the SynTRAC line for Cat M1 and NB IoT networks, as well as global cellular coverage.

Syndesy will also offer a highly skilled professional services group that will deliver customizations to meet unique and specific customer requirements. Industrial design, electrical and software engineering are some of the value-added services the company has to offer to its customer base.

“Companies are quickly realizing that they need to incorporate wireless connectivity into virtually all of their products to capitalize on the Internet of Things,” says Bill Molesworth, Syndesy’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Syndesy was founded to address the overwhelming need to enable that wireless connectivity. With our certified board and finished trackers, it is now possible for our customers to quickly get to market with a connected device, mitigating the tremendous costs associated with industry regulatory approvals and carrier certifications.”

“We succeeded in developing tracking devices with the highest level of reliability,” says Dr. Colleen Lingley-Papadopoulos, co-founder and CTO. “With our background in fault-tolerant systems and sophisticated embedded firmware development, our customers can expect very robust devices, unlike some overseas imports.”
