ManageEngine SIEM offering debuts Office 365 Monitoring to help enterprises provide business continuity

Real-time IT management company ManageEngine announced on Thursday that it has added Office 365 monitoring capabilities to O365 Manager Plus, one of the components of its SIEM solution, Log360. Available immediately, the latest version of the component offers health and performance monitoring for many Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, Skype for Business and OneDrive for Business.

With real-time email alerts on Office 365 service outages and historical monitoring data for Office 365 services, O365 Manager Plus helps administrators make decisions to ensure business continuity.

Office 365 monitoring capability allows administrators to monitor the health and performance of Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, Skype for Business, OneDrive for Business and 10 other Office 365 services — from one central location.

It also monitors the health and performance of endpoints to keep track of their availability; gets real-time email alerts on service outages; accesses a complete monitoring record, including data older than 30 days; and views a graph illustrating the health status of services and endpoints for quick understanding.

Although cloud workspaces have many advantages, no cloud provider is immune to service outages — even Office 365. Office 365 service outages can temporarily disrupt business processes, including scheduled calls with customers and online meetings, or bring them to a halt entirely. While Microsoft does provide notices about Office 365 service outages, these notices are only available in the service dashboard, forcing administrators to constantly keep an eye on that dashboard and adding to their already demanding workload. What administrators need is a way to monitor the health and performance of all their Office 365 services, regardless of where they are.

In other words, administrators will have more time to implement a backup plan before a service outage impacts business processes.”
