Lantronix offers technology preview of multi-dimensional IoT management software platform

Secure data access and management company Lantronix introduced Tuesday MACH10, a multi-dimensional management software platform designed to enable OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) to profitably deliver web-scale IoT applications and services.

MACH10 features extensible, ready to use management applications and a suite of essential micro-services available through industry-standard APIs, allowing OEMs to deliver secure data access and management software and services to support their connected machines and their customers.

Featuring extensible, ready-to-use management applications and a suite of essential micro-services available through industry-standard APIs, MACH10 is a cloud agnostic, hybrid platform that allows OEMs and their partners to deliver secure data access and management software and services to support their connected machines and their customers.

“With more than two decades of experience as an OEM providing robust connectivity solutions to thousands of manufacturers building connected products, Lantronix has firsthand insight into the unmet needs of IoT OEMs,” said Jeff Benck, CEO of Lantronix. “Most IoT platforms provide infrastructure to move some data between the device and cloud, leaving the complexity of building applications around the data to the OEM. MACH10 has been architected from the ground up to dramatically simplify the complexity of building web-scale IoT applications and accelerate time to market, so that OEMs can add value to their connected products without reinventing the wheel.”

“As we begin engaging customers and previewing our new platform, we felt it was time to share more of where we are headed and the problems we are working to solve for our customers. The MACH10 vision is the direct result of the many candid conversations we’ve had with our OEM customers where they shared the challenges they face in bringing their products to market,” said Benck.

“Today, building an IoT solution can seem even more complex than ever before… and the number of platform choices seems to be multiplying each day,” he added. “As an OEM building solutions for OEMs, we are well positioned to help our customers solve a bigger piece of the IoT problem by enabling them to overcome the major hurdles they face in building market-leading, smart connected solutions.”

Lantronix also announced the publication of its latest white paper, “Busting The Myths of OEM IoT Application Development,” which highlights some of the considerations and common misconceptions OEMs face when contemplating how to deliver a comprehensive smart connected solution.

Lantronix launched last October its SGX 5150 solution, an IoT device gateway designed to accelerate secure, wireless IoT deployments of unconnected serial, USB or Ethernet devices. The Lantronix SGX 5150 is an ideal solution for a variety of vertical markets, including healthcare, industrial automation, logistics, retail, environmental monitoring, and transportation.

Featuring Lantronix Soft AP and Wi-Fi Direct features, SGX 5150 allows operational technology (OT) and field support teams to perform diagnostics and ongoing maintenance of the enabled device without interrupting the machine’s primary connection or requiring special access to the enterprise network.
