IPM, Forescout team to secure corporate networks from security threats

IPM and ForeScout Technologies, vendor of agentless and Internet of Things (IoT) cybersecurity, announced Wednesday that they have partnered to deliver visibility solutions that empower organizations to see devices, including non-traditional devices, the instant they connect to the network.

By delivering ForeScout solutions, IPM can not only enable organizations to better protect networks from security threats, it also offers the ability to control endpoint devices and orchestrate information sharing and operation among disparate security tools for faster incident response.

ForeScout solutions, including ForeScout CounterACT, ForeScout Extended Modules, and CounterACT Enterprise Manager, are now offered as part of the IPM security portfolio. Together, they help enterprises discover corporate, BYOD, IoT and rogue devices, servers, routers and access points, enforce network access based on user, device and policy, and find and fix vulnerabilities on managed and unmanaged endpoints. This enables rapid response to incidents without human intervention.

“ForeScout has developed an innovative suite of solutions to enable enterprises to truly get ahold of the growing waves of devices that proliferate their networks – from notebooks, smartphones and tablets to Internet of Things (IoT) devices of all shapes and sizes,” said Adam Bari, Managing Director, IPM. “Through solutions that ‘see,’ ‘control,’ and ‘orchestrate’ these devices, ForeScout enables us to deliver solutions that assure system-wide security and risk prevention.”

“IPM is a partner with an impressive bench of expertise in endpoint management and security,” said Todd DeBell, Vice President of Worldwide Channel Sales, ForeScout Technologies. “We are pleased to be partnering with them in the delivery of our innovative suite of solutions that can see connected devices, enforce policy-based control of those devices and orchestrate information sharing and automated workflows among disparate security and IT management tools.”

Last month, IPM announced that it is an authorized partner of Varonis Systems, a vendor of software solutions that protect data from insider threats and cyberattacks. The companies are partnering to protect sensitive company information from threats while automating time-consuming tasks and extracting valuable insights from organizational data.

Through its software platform, Varonis allows organizations to analyze, secure, manage, and migrate their volumes of unstructured data. Varonis specializes in file and email systems that store valuable spreadsheets, word processing documents, presentations, audio and video files, emails, and text. This growing data often contains an enterprise’s financial information, product plans, strategic initiatives, intellectual property, and confidential employee, customer or patient records.

IT and business personnel deploy Varonis software for a variety of use cases, including data security, governance and compliance, user behavior analytics, archiving, search, and file synchronization and sharing.

With offices and partners worldwide, Varonis had approximately 4,550 customers as of March 31, 2016, across enterprises in financial services, healthcare, public, industrial, insurance, energy and utilities, media and entertainment, consumer and retail, technology and education sectors.
