DLT Solutions improves application security with Veracode to bring it on a single platform

DLT Solutions (DLT) announced on Thursday a partnership with software security company Veracode, to bring the Veracode Application Security Platform to public sector customers.

The Veracode Application Security Platform uses a patented method of analysis that scans all of the application’s components and provides users with a central repository of results that enables full visibility into the risk posture of each application. Detailed reports and executive level views help users prioritize fixes, show reduced risk over time, and compare progress across different teams and users.

Big data, cloud, mobile, social networking, and the Internet of Things all run on software that not only represents a key source of innovation, but one of agencies’ largest breach vulnerabilities. As such, application security is more important than ever for the public sector.

Veracode provides a secure cloud-based and fully automated Application Security Platform that offers scalable solutions for customers to mitigate risk across their entire application portfolio.

“We are very excited to add Veracode to our portfolio,” said Jeremy Young, Vice President of Cybersecurity at DLT. “This partnership puts us in position to offer yet another way for agencies to protect themselves and their sensitive data. Managing a huge portfolio of unsecured applications can be overwhelming. As agencies move to increase application security, we, along with Veracode, look forward to helping agencies address these security challenges.”

“As agencies look to reduce the cost of application portfolio risk management, we are excited to partner with DLT, a proven leader in understanding the cybersecurity challenges facing the public sector,” says Mike McGuinness, executive vice president of sales at Veracode. “We look forward to helping public sector customers ramp-up quickly to see results and prove value on day one.”

DLT had teamed with cloud infrastructure security and compliance automation company Evident.io earlier this month to focus on making it easier for government agencies to secure their cloud environments through the Evident Security Platform.

The Evident Security Platform (ESP) provides ability to assess risks within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment and continuously monitors cloud infrastructure to automatically identify and assess security misconfigurations, thus making remediating the issues easy. ESP gathers AWS API metadata from an agency’s environment via Amazon API’s.

The Evident Security Platform (ESP) enables organizations of all sizes to proactively manage cloud security risk — minimizing attack surface and improving overall security posture, all from a single dashboard. ESP continuously monitors an organization’s entire AWS footprint, identifying and assessing security risks, providing security staff with expert remediation guidance, and enabling painless security auditing and compliance reporting.

This data is then input into the ESP risk analysis engine which generates a detailed assessment of the security risks, misconfigurations and vulnerabilities it detects.
