Data I/O Corp., provider of advanced data and security programming solutions for flash, flash-memory based intelligent devices and microcontrollers, announced on Tuesday release of TurboBoost for eMMC 5.0 and 5.1 devices on the LumenX programming platform.
Data I/O has also been awarded a 2019 Circuits Assembly Service Excellence Award (SEA) for its outstanding customer ratings, as judged by its own customers. Data I/O was selected for the Device Programming Equipment category.
“We are honored to be awarded the 2019 Service Excellence Award for Device Programming,” said Anthony Ambrose, President and CEO of Data I/O Corporation. “This award is a testament to Data I/O’s commitment from all team members to deliver world class service to our customers around the world. We want to thank our customers for this honor.”
Sponsored by Circuits Assembly, the SEAs for Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) providers and electronics assembly suppliers honor companies excelling in the crucial area of customer service. Customers rate each company on a scale of 1 (poor) to 7 (best in class) in five service categories including dependability, quality, responsiveness, technology and value for price. The program, now in its 27th year, functions as a way for participants to see how they compare to peers in customer satisfaction.
LumenX is architected to support the latest device technologies for maximum performance today and in the future including ultra-fast programming performance for eMMC devices. The combination of TurboBoost for LumenX and the PSV programming systems with high socket capacity and high throughput allows manufacturers using one PSV system to program what previously required multiple systems to produce.
With over 240 PSV systems installed globally, existing customers can immediately improve their production output without investing in new capital equipment. The combination of LumenX programming technology in a PSV system delivers the maximum performance, flexibility and throughput for the lowest total cost.
The offering is engineered for ultra-fast programming performance up to 140 megabytes per second and beyond, supports cache memory up to 256 gigabytes and extensible up to 512 gigabytes. It also provides 60 percent faster download speed up to 40 megabytes per second to all programmers simultaneously reducing job set-up, and comes with three times programming capacity with up to 8 sockets/ programmer and up to 14 LumenX programmers integrated into the PSV7000 for 112 sockets.
It provides LumenX Data Management Software Suite that secures programming jobs from creation to production; comprehensive traceability software for managed programming, and personalized algorithms further reduce complexity and human error.
“Programmable content for automotive electronics, driven primarily by the infotainment systems in connected and autonomous cars, is expected to exceed 1 Terabyte by 2025. Today, most OEMs pre-programming eMMC Flash are struggling to maintain production throughput as the file sizes continue to grow,” said Anthony Ambrose, president and CEO of Data I/O. “TurboBoost for LumenX enables customers to immediately improve their programming performance, maximizing their existing investment in Data I/O’s programming technology.”
