Autobrain releases connected car device on the AT&T network

AT&T, provider of IoT connectivity solutions, and Autobrain, a connected car device company, announced on Wednesday an agreement to launch Autobrain’s 4G LTE connected car device exclusively on the AT&T network.

Compatible with over 200 million passenger vehicles in the United States on the road, 1996 and newer, the small, plug & play, Autobrain device fits into the diagnostic port and can turn any eligible car into a smart car in minutes. The Autobrain device fits in a plug under the steering wheel and is very discreet, so that users can use car finder to track the thief who stole the car, in case of a theft.

“Combining the strength of the AT&T network with Autobrain’s connected-car platform will transform the way people interact with their vehicles now and in the future,” stated Jeremy Gelbart, Co-Founder and CEO of Autobrain.

“By making Autobrain available through our 4G LTE network, we will help offer customers another option for keeping drivers safe and connected,” Joe Mosele, vice president, Internet of Things Solutions, AT&T. “We are pleased to work with Autobrain to bring the latest connected car technology to consumers nationwide.”

Paired with an easy-to-use mobile and web application, Autobrain is designed to keep drivers safe and connected when they are on the road. Autobrain markets both a consumer and small business solution, offering access to a full suite of services including near real-time vehicle location, 24/7 roadside assistance, vehicle diagnostics and mechanic helpline, emergency crash response and more.

Autobrain is available nationwide at Walmart and is US$19.97 for the device and $9.97 per month – with no contract and no activation fee. Since launching at Walmart, Autobrain has positioned itself as the connected car platform of choice for the retail consumer.
