Arrow Electronics will offer VIMOC’s Rosella Artificial Intelligence landscape computing platform for applications ranging from smart factories to smart buildings, under the terms of a deal announced Monday.
The Rosella platform extends cloud computing down to the infrastructure by using an Artificial Intelligence (cognitive computing network) framework and edge computing to deliver real-time data processing that pushes processed “intelligence” to the cloud, rather than large amounts data. Rosella achieves a high level of operational efficiency, reducing the complexity, cost of integration, and eliminating the single point of failure.
VIMOC’s Rosella A.I. software extends cloud computing to the edge offering highly accurate, reliable and real-time intelligence for safety-critical applications and smart facilities. The Rosella software is based on a landscape computing topology allowing scalability to meet changing requirements. An open API provides analytics and business solutions that help increase security and infrastructure revenues.

VIMOC’s Rosella IoT software stack is an end-to-end solution from the edge of the network to the cloud. This solution creates a seamless and robust link that allows infrastructure to drive applications. Rosella Embedded is a distributed software solution performing sensory data capture and processing at the edge of the network, while efficiently cooperating with other Rosella Embedded computing nodes and the Rosella Cloud. Each embedded software node performs data normalization, message parsing, edge processing pipeline and storage, with an extended framework for machine learning, vision processing etc.
Rosella Cloud is the software component which communicates with the Rosella Embedded computing nodes to authenticate and collect the intelligence produced by this network. This intelligence is presented via the Rosella API to enable advanced applications and services, including visualization, data mining/ analytics etc.
